esquimaux pops for grown-ups

Hot summer days call for cold treats, everyone knows that. Esquimaux Pops for Grown-Ups are frozen chocolate mousse on a stick, with booze (I used Cassis) and chopped chocolate bits added for more fun. No ice cream maker– but several bowls!– required. I had my suspicions about these freezing too hard, actually, but they were perfectly airy and delicious. A “make again” for sure.

I didn’t say this in the post, but I you could even skip the pop molds and freeze the mix in little indiviual portion cups…definitely able to eat this with a spoon.

Another good idea! I do like those metal popsicle molds.

I like your very cool popsicle moulds. I was curious as to what these looked like so I am glad to see yours.

I look forward to making these next but I am a little worried about getting the pops out. I am glad you liked them.

Originally I planned to make these this weekend but then got tied up in other errands and didn’the have time to source the molds. I can’tell wait to try these next time!

Now that’s how I imagined they would look! Very nice. I wonder if my plastic mould was part of my problem.

These metal popsicle moulds got my attention. Very sophisticated for grown-ups.

These look delicious (and I am pleased to see that even in metal molds they don’t come out “clean” and smooth – I thought it was my plastic ones. I’m making this again and will simply make ice cream – it was so good (also, not frozen as a mousse!).

These would be great to make, thanks for the post. Your popiscle moulds are interesting, I like them.

This is totally different than what I thought they would be – they look great.

I have these and the chocolate napoleons on my list for this weekend.
